Steve Rosenberg

Steve Rosenberg devoted 27 years to public service in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Most recently, he served as Albemarle County Attorney from July 2022, until his retirement in September 2024. Previously, he held various management and legal positions in local and state government in Virginia, including deputy city manager and city manager in Staunton, county attorney in Augusta County, and Associate General Counsel at the University of Virginia.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of William and Mary and a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University. He completed the Senior Executive Institute at the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia. Steve also formerly held leadership positions with Virginia Local Government Management Association and Local Government Attorneys of Virginia.
