Savannah Newbern

Savannah Newbern joins The Berkley Group with 5 years of experience in local government, floodplain management, and strategic planning to enhance community resilience. Previously, she served coastal communities in North Carolina through her work in county government. Most recently, Savannah provided technical assistance to Virginia localities to promote the Community Rating System and supported state and local climate adaptation initiatives. She leverages her background in policy and current planning to help communities achieve their goals.

Savannah is a Certified Floodplain Manager, holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning, and serves as an elected representative on the Board of the Virginia Floodplain Management Association.
