Sanford B. Wanner

Sandy joined the Berkley Group in July 2018 with over 25 years of local government experience. Sandy served as the County Administrator for James City County from 1996 to 2010. Since Sandy’s retirement from James City County, he has served in an interim capacity as the Executive Director for the Newport News/Williamsburg Airport, County Administrator for King William County, Isle of Wight County, and Gloucester County.

Sandy received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Trenton State Teachers College and a Master of Science in Administration from The George Washington University. He has also taken finance courses from James Madison University, attended the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia, and is an ICMA credentialed manager. Sandy completed 21 years of service in the United States Marine Corps and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel.
