Michael Poarch is a native of Sussex County, Virginia. He is a graduate of Hampton University with a Masters in Architecture and a certification as a LEED Green Associate (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
From his academic experience, He is able to utilize and design projects using various design and energy analytical software. Mr. Poarch has traveled abroad where he studied some of the culture, architecture, and urban design of France. Furthermore, Michael participated and placed in The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon with a team of his peers where they created and designed a concept of a sustainable shipping container community.
From his professional experience, Mr. Poarch has been involved in working with local government which includes Sussex County, Virginia as a Housing Assistant for the Housing Department and Henrico County, Virginia as an Energy Analyst Intern for the Department of General Services. Mr. Poarch is devoted and committed to whatever professional role he holds. He has a strong work ethic and the ability to work within a team. His philosophy for working is as follows:
