Karen A. Edmonds

Karen has over 30 years of public sector Human Resources experience.  During that time, she held the role of Human Resources Director for Montgomery County and the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia.  She is a member of the Executive Committee for the Virginia Chapter of IPMA-HR (International Public Management Association-Human Resources) and Past State Director of HR Virginia, along with many other volunteer leadership roles for Virginia SHRM.  She holds senior professional HR certifications in both IPMA and SHRM. 

Her HR roles have included leadership and administration, employee training and development, recruitment, conflict resolution, compensation and classification, employee relations, rewards and recognition, policies and procedures, conference planning, and educational development.  Karen earned a B.S. degree in Human Resources Management from Bluefield College and an MBA-HR from Liberty University.
