The Berkley Group seeks talented student interns or recent graduates who aspire to become leaders in transforming communities. Individuals must be enthusiastic and disciplined self-starters with the ability to perform work duties independently, and in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary staff. We are looking for students in the following fields to assist our team:
· Planning & Urban Affairs
· Public Administration
· Public Policy
· Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping
Work elements include assisting Berkley Group staff with land use planning and ordinance development, interacting with public officials, land development plan reviews, design standards, transportation project development, sustainability/resilience initiatives, and other public policy programming.
Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel; Esri mapping products; and Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign.

We serve clients throughout Virginia, and beyond. Interns should expect to work remotely, with occasional coordination meetings and travel to client locations.
We will work with your professors for credit hours, or we offer an hourly rate starting at $10/hour for undergraduate students and $15/hour for graduate students.
